Miyako: Error Reports

This is the error reporting page for ef - Chapter 1 (Miyako) Build A, released by No Name Losers on 3/15/09.

What sort of errors should you report? Pretty much anything, really. Find a typo? Post it here. Take issue with a particular phrase? Suggest something different. Notice an inconsistency in the script? You get the drift.

When reporting, please provide the entire original line so that we can find it more easily. All reported issues will be fixed (if possible) in Build B.

(Chapter 5) Akira: "To be honest with you, I don't like coming here very much outside of class." --> Perhaps something like, "I don't like coming outside of class to this place very much" would be better?

[edit] Technical Issues

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh The second I extracted ef from the rar, my computer became crippled If I tried any file operations(even as simple as right clicking the install .exe) windows would slow down almost to a halt and I would get the "do you want to restart windows thing" With a lot of patience, I managed to install it, and it worked, but my computer became super slow in everything that it did

edit: I think I just didn't have enough disk space. I had the bare minimum free as prescribed by the readme. Sorry about that.

We packaged the build in .zip so that it would cause the least hassle for XP and Vista users. This is a computer-specific issue and does not have anything to do with our build. Check your computer for viruses. GipFace 06:59, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Game starts breaking after you switch from full screen to windowed a few times.

This is a known issue and was present in the Japanese EXE. We can't fix it. Sorry! GipFace 06:59, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

After I install the game every time time I open the game folder windows explorer shuts down. And secondly whenever I try to save and load the game just freeze.

(self-found) Game first defaults to quicksave #3 and save page #2. This is caused by a bad config file. Oops! GipFace 05:10, 13 April 2009 (UTC)

(self-found) With ero scene removal enabled, the immediate scene after the first ero scene is missing the text window. GipFace 19:59, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

After setting the font to ef NNL, no text shows up.

During the prologue, or any automated conversation between Yuu and Yuuko (not the flashback one), sometimes the conversation will go at light speed... showing the text and then going to the next line almost instantaneously and even cut the voices short.... For me, the one that triggers it is scrolling the scroll wheel. I dunno whether there's anything else that triggers this... My friend also encounter the same trouble. There's no fix to this except for starting new game, or loading the game, right before the conversation started....--Lolipedofin 00:08, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Unfortunately, this is an error with the demo executable we used to shoehorn all data. It's fixed in the retail executable, but that one has DRM. Until we figure out a way to use the retail executable, this bug cannot be fixed. GipFace 23:38, 16 August 2009 (UTC)
